EARTH BODY: Autumn release
༄ An embodied day for slowing down, listening and letting go ༄
8.11.2026 Helsinki
A gentle one-day retreat in Helsinki, created as an invitation to slow down, listen inwardly and attune to the cyclical rhythms of life.
As November arrives and nature turns towards a quieter cycle, we gather to create a warm and nourishing space to slow down and listen — to the rhythms of the earth, the body, and the world around us.The rhythms of contemporary life often ask us to keep moving, producing and performing regardless of the season. The day is an opportunity to step away from the constant movement of everyday life, return to the body and attune with natural cycles.
To listen rather than perform. To pause rather than push forward. To soften into the season.Through movement, nature, sound and creative expression, we explore the cycles of growth and decay, activity and rest and renewal.
We explore the art of releasing and ask:
What am I ready to let go of?
What do I want to make space for?

Body
Cultivating awareness and connection through embodied practices .
𖦹
The body is a place of knowing, sensing and remembering. Through somatic practices, movement and embodied awareness, we cultivate a deeper relationship with ourselves and learn to listen beyond the thinking mind. The body becomes a gateway into presence, intuition and connection.
Creativity
Creating from sensation, curiosity, and relationship rather than performance.
𖦹
Creativity is a way of listening, exploring and making meaning. Through art, imagination, ritual and playful experimentation, we create space for what wants to emerge. Creativity becomes not only something we make, but a way of moving through the world with curiosity and openness.
The Living Earth
Deepening our connection and attuning with the more-than-human world.
𖦹
We are part of a living, interconnected world. Through embodied ecological practices, art and ritual, we explore our relationship with the Earth and the more-than-human. We listen to landscapes, elements, seasons and materials as sources of knowledge, belonging and remembrance.
Text
We are not separate from the earth; we are as much a part of the planet as each cell in our bodies is a part of us.

About us
Nila Studio is an embodied ecological art platform for re-connection, care and remembrance. Through art, ritual and somatic practice, we explore ways of sensing our interconnectedness — with our bodies, with one another, with the more-than-human world, and with the places we call home.Nila is a Finnish word for the living vascular tissue within a tree — the layer through which nutrients move from the leaves into the rest of the plant. It is a subtle, vital network of exchange: carrying nourishment, connecting parts, sustaining life. This is the spirit behind Nila Studio.Founded by two creatives with backgrounds in art and yoga, Nila Studio grew from a shared curiosity about how we might cultivate more embodied, caring and ecological ways of being in the world. Our offerings bring together movement, meditation, creative practice, ecological inquiry and lived experience. We create spaces to slow down, listen, feel and remember — not only thinking about ecology, but experiencing ourselves as part of it.At the heart of Nila Studio is an ecological somatic archive of lived practices: a growing collection of embodied ways of knowing, sensing and relating, gathered through art, practice, place and relationship.Nila Studio is a space for remembering what connects us — and cultivating new ways of living together.

Joanna HambergJoanna is an artist, yoga teacher and a student of the feminine path. She sees the body as a site of connection, expression and transformation, drawing on her studies in art therapy and embodied practices. She is particularly interested in the mysteries of the womb as a space of intuition, creation and ancestral knowing. Through movement, creative processes and relational practices, Joanna invites a deeper listening to the body and its innate wisdom. She sees creativity as a healing force — a way of remembering our interconnectedness, reconnecting with our inner landscapes, one another, and the deeper cycles of life.

Jenni AyaniMultidisciplinary artist and yoga teacher with a Master's degree in Arts, Jenni focuses on the interconnectedness of life, ancestral knowledge systems and plant wisdom. She has walked for a decade alongside various indigenous groups in South America, studying traditional ecological knowledge and building embodied understanding of the living world. She sees the body as a vessel for a primal creative force and a portal for a deeper existential understanding and alignment. Through corporeal methods, she seeks to build reciprocity and reinforce connection with the Earth.
